Demographic Projections of Canada for 2041

Statistics Canada recently released the national demographic projections for 2041.

Here are some significant forecasts for 2041:

• The overall population may reach more than 47 million.
• One in three Canadians could be an immigrant.
• The black population might become the second largest racialized group after the South Asian population.
• Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver will probably continue to host large proportions of immigrants.
