Simplified process for Canadian passport renewals

Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has simplified the process to renew passports per its recent news release.

Effective March 31, 2022, Canadians can renew their passports – issued within the past 15 years – without submitting a guarantor or original documents (citizenship proof and photo identification). Each application only requires two photos, two references, the completed form, and the applicable fees.

The HMC team believes that the simplified process can enhance clients’ experience when they use the services provided by IRCC.
