According to the Canadian province of Ontario, the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) is the official provincial high school diploma. Students are required to accumulate 30 secondary school credits to receive the qualification.
The breakdown of requirements to achieve an OSSD is as follows:
- gain 18 mandatory credits
- gain 12 optional credits
- pass the literacy requirement
- earn at least two online learning credits
- finish at least 40 hours of community involvement activities
