Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada recently announced the latest development in tackling the backlog of immigration and citizenship cases.
The number of backlogged applications was reportedly 1.3 million out of the total inventory of 2.4 million as of July 31, 2022. In addition, it is anticipated that the situation will have been further improved by March 2023, leading to permanent residence applications being processed within service standards.
