2022 was a record-breaking year.
According to a recent news release from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Canada has met the goal of admitting 431,645 new permanent residents in 2022 – the highest number achieved within one single year in Canadian history.
It broke the record of 401,000 new permanent residents welcomed to Canada in 2021.
