It was unprecedented.
On February 13, 2021, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 27,332 candidates for Canadian permanent residence. The round of invitations was exclusive to the Canadian Experience Class category in the Express Entry system.
The cut-off score – 75 – in this round has been the lowest in all the Express Entry draws since its launch in 2015. This extraordinary draw took place amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
