A recent news release by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) shows that Canada surpassed its processing target of citizenship applications for 2021-2022, having admitted more than 217,000 Canadian citizens. And it plans to welcome even more in 2022-2023.
The news further reveals that Canada has exceeded its pre-pandemic levels in inviting candidates to citizenship tests and ceremonies.
