Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) today announced the latest development in tackling the backlog of immigration and citizenship cases.
From August to November 2022, IRCC reduced the application backlog by approximately half a million. By the end of this past November, IRCC had processed nearly 4.8 million applications, almost double that during the same period last year. IRCC is said to stay on track to meeting the goal of processing 80 percent of new applications for most programs within service standards.
Here is the data on Canadian immigration and citizenship applications as of November 30, 2022.
